About me

I am a masters student at Binghamton University in Vestal, NY. My research focuses on the relationship between microscopic rules/interactions and the macroscopic behavior/dynamics. The concepts of emergence and self-organization are at the root of my interests. Furthermore, I am interested in the dynamics of pattern formation, thermodynamics, and information processing.

Research Interests

In general, I am interested in why the structure of the world is not boring (homogeneous). I am currently working under the supervision of Hiroki Sayama on the dynamics of opinion formation. Emphasis is placed on nonlocal aggregation of information and population dynamics. Studies have lead to instability, phase transitions, and spatio-temporal chaos.

  1. Analytical Techniques: I am insterested in the plethora of analytical modeling techniques developed in nonlinear dynamics and chaos, nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, and information theory. My goal is to use my background in physics and applied mathematics to study interdisciplinary complex systems.
  2. Computational Physics: Much of my experimental studies come from numerical simulation. This includes solving partial differential equations, simulating stochastic processes, and data analysis. I am comfortable programming in Python, Julia, C++, and Java.
